We care about the environmental effect of the products we sell, but we will not make vague promises or claim perfection. Our approach is to identify practical improvements, measure what we reasonably can and communicate accurately.
Packaging
We aim to reduce unnecessary packaging while protecting product quality, tamper evidence and safe delivery. Packaging materials and recyclability vary by product and by local recycling facility. Customers should follow the disposal instructions on the pack and check local rules.
Responsible sourcing
We ask suppliers for relevant information about materials, manufacturing, quality and origin. Purchasing decisions may consider product safety, compliance, reliability, waste, transport efficiency and environmental performance alongside commercial factors.
Waste and stock management
We aim to forecast demand carefully, rotate stock, monitor best-before dates and reduce avoidable disposal. Products cannot be redistributed where safety, seal integrity, storage history or legal requirements make that inappropriate.
Delivery and operations
We seek proportionate packing, consolidated purchasing and efficient fulfilment. We will review delivery and packaging options as the business grows, without compromising food safety or product protection.
Claims and progress
We aim to communicate clearly and responsibly about the environmental impact of our products and operations. We will only make environmental claims that are specific, accurate and supported by appropriate evidence.
As a new business, we are still gathering reliable information from our manufacturers, packaging suppliers and delivery partners. We are therefore not currently publishing quantified environmental targets or claiming that our products or packaging are sustainable, environmentally friendly or carbon neutral.
We will review the materials, packaging, manufacturing and delivery methods used across our business as reliable information becomes available. Any future targets or environmental claims will include a clear baseline, measurement method and target date. This statement will be reviewed and updated as our products, suppliers and evidence develop.
